I am German by birth, Dithmarscher by chance—but with pride; European by default, cosmopolitan by choice; an inhabitant of our wonderful planet with pleasure, yet also with concern; and a nomad by fate.
My orientation is the compass rose. My places of residence have been many. I have moved like the wind, and wherever I cast anchor, I felt at home. I often arrived, sometimes stayed, and mostly moved on.
My courage adapts, my fears are tolerable, my endurance strong, my desires many, my pleasures diverse, and my life rich in surprises.
